Located 23 minutes west of Atlanta is the beautiful Sweetwater Creek State Park. Explore over 15 miles of trails along a scenic creek and the rolling hills of northwest Georgia. The park offers opportunities for camping, fishing, and picnicking as well. Summer and fall are the most popular seasons to visit, especially as the leaves are beginning to change color.

Visit the Birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A can’t miss for American history fans,  Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park is the birthplace of the iconic civil rights leader.. The park includes several buildings and points of interest, including King’s boyhood home, gravesite, and Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King and his father were both pastors. Just 15 minutes west is Morehouse College, the historically Black university where King and many other famous Americans, attended.

Take a Tour De Atlanta on Peachtree

Atlanta’s main thoroughfare, Peachtree Street stretches from downtown Atlanta and becomes Peachtree Road as it traverses through famous Atlanta neighborhoods like Little Five Points and Buckhead. Peachtree is also lined with historic architecture and other notable southern landmarks, like the "Fabulous” Fox Theater. Peachtree isn’t hard to find, but make sure you are looking for Peachtree STREET or ROAD. Atlanta has are over 71 different roads with variations of  “Peach” or “Peachtree” in the name.
