To get the best views in Dallas, you’ll need to take an elevator. The Texas landscape around Dallas is mostly flat, but the downtown skyscrapers provide a way to get above the plains and look out on the Dallas Fort-Worth area. Get a slightly different angle of the Dallas skyline with soccer fields, bike paths, and plenty of benches to sit and watch the sunset. Trinity Overlook is technically within the larger Trammell Crow Park, which meanders along the Trinity River through downtown Dallas.
This 561ft observation deck is one of the most recognizable features of the Dallas skyline. The ball-shaped top floors have housed a radio station and most recently a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, but now simply functions as a great way to learn about the history of Dallas and get a birds-eye view of the city.

This northside park runs a bit on the small side compared to the others, but has a dog park, performance pavilion, playground, and splash fountain for kids to cool off in during the summer. The greenspace is a welcome change from the surrounding concrete. Probably not the best place for a skyline pic, but you’re sure to capture some authentic Dallas character and city life.
