Avail will cease our peer-to-peer car sharing operations in Chicago and Denver effective July 16, 2024. All vehicle owners will need to make arrangements to pick up their vehicles by August 9, 2024. Please reference the email you received for pick-up details and additional information.

Avail will cease our peer-to-peer car sharing operations in Chicago and Denver effective July 16, 2024, and we will not be able to accommodate listing extensions beyond that date. All vehicle owners will need to make arrangements to pick up their vehicles by August 9, 2024.

If you are unable to pick up your car by August 9, 2024, we may need to remove it from the Avail location at your expense. Please contact our customer service team and we will follow up with you via email in one business day.

When you arrive at the Avail lot, please log into your Avail account and follow the prompts to access the key box and retrieve your keys. Vehicles will be inspected and prepared for pick up starting July 17, 2024.

You will receive your earnings for all bookings through July 16, 2024, as normal. 

If you are eligible for additional payments including listing bonuses, mileage overages and other reimbursements, we will process those payments by July 30, 2024.

Avail will continue to process payments for borrower-incurred tolls and violations. Most instances are paid automatically by Avail’s violation payment process, but if you have any outstanding tolls or other violations incurred by borrowers that need to be reimbursed, please submit a reimbursement request with receipts as soon as possible by contacting our customer service team.

No, we will not be cashing out any Avail Plus borrowing credits.

If your vehicle was scheduled to be listed continuously through September 30, 2024, before we notified you that Avail was ceasing operations, you will still receive your Avail Plus quarterly listing bonuses for Q2 and Q3. We will process those payments by July 30, 2024.

While we are ceasing our peer-to-peer car sharing operations, Avail will continue to explore innovations in the vehicle space through our business-to-business partnerships.
